Congrats! It can happen all of a sudden. I went to see the doctor on a Thursday morning. I was dilated to a 2 and 60-80 percent effaced. With some hard core walking that day and a little bedroom action if you know what I mean(sorry if it's too much info- but it worked for us)- it put me right into active labor- Parker was born about 6 hours later!Good luck!
