We went to the doctor today, and here's where we're sitting.
I am now 3 cm and still 80% effaced. We talked induction dates, and the doctor said that if we came back a week from today (1 day overdue) and I had made some progress, she would induce on Thursday (3 days overdue) which is sounding wayyyyyy better than her usual 7-10 day policy for first time babies. So, everyone cross your fingers and pray we don't even make it to being induced, but that if we don't that by next Tuesday things are still moving along so that I don't have to wait until the 13th (the induction date if I haven't progressed. Let's not even consider that an option.)

I have some ideas that you probably don't want in your comments section. Partly because they're detailed. Partly because I will sound super weird. But I was overdue with Claire and Grace, and I was induced with Grace, and I preferred the things I did with Claire to make her come along rather than being officially induced with Claire. Labor is a lot faster and easier (in my opinion) when you're not induced. Anyway... if you want my ideas... you can email me!! eliseneville(at)gmail(dot)com!

at least your dilated some. Inductions go faster when you are dilated some. But I push for going into labor by yourself.
