Niece Camp!

This past weekend my brothers flew out to visit my aunt and uncle for the second annual "Nephew Camp." During nephew camp, the boys go skiing and have fun being hooligans for a few days. This year, we girls (mom, me, Abby, Megan, and cousins Kate and Sam) decided we that we should have some fun too! Brother Gerber in my parent's ward just finished his house in Hurricane, UT, and very nicely offered to let us stay and play! So, we had "Niece Camp" and headed down for a fun weekend! It took us 7 hours to drive down, but it was worth it once we got there! (It only took 3.5 hours to come back... a much more pleasant trip!)

After our long snowy detoured drive down, we went into the house (beautiful!!) and relaxed for a little while before bed.


She doesn't look happy, but Abby really was PERFECT the entire trip. She wasn't fussy and was so patient even when she had to be in her car seat for the drive and when she was being passed around. She was such a good traveler!
The next morning, Bro. Gerber took us out on his Ranger to explore the wilderness. We saw some gorgeous countryside and had tons of fun playing in the sand dunes and being silly. Bro. Gerber drove us way fast and down some crazy steep hills that had us girls all screaming and hanging on for dear life to each other and to the Ranger. =) Here are the girls at a cliff that we stopped at to take pictures.
I had on these awesome safety goggles, and as a result you can see what's behind us as well as what's in front of us!
The girls loved making sand angels. Megan kept slipping down the hill they were laying on because it was so steep, but Kate and Sam hung on and made beautiful angels.
After playing for a few hours, we came back to the house for lunch and a little break. After we ate, the girls got busy practicing their sewing skills by making monster stuffed animals from a pattern mom brought down. This is only one aspect that shows how niece and nephew camps differ!

After we rested up, we were off again to go four wheeling. Mom has most of the four wheeling pictures on her camera, so this is all that I have.
Of COURSE to round out the day, we headed to our favorite eating establishment for dinner. In'n'out, it's been a long 2 years. I have missed you. The next morning the girls went and did baptisms at the St. George temple, and I headed to the outlets with Abby. GREAT DEALS. Outlets, I have missed you too.
Then we headed home for Valentine's day evening! It was a great trip! Thanks girls! And a BIG thank you to the Gerbers!!
