Yesterday morning was quite interesting, to say the least. At about 9:15 I got a call from a local firefighter who was at my house! The neighbors have a floor heating unit, which they had put a rug on top of. Then, (most likely thinking it was like central air) turned the little nob all the way down for the day, as not to waste money cooling a house that no one was home in. Unfortunately, we don't have central air, and by turning the nob all the way down, it turned the furnace all the way up. And thus, a fire. There were 2 big fire trucks, an ambulance, and a few police cars. Pretty exciting!! Fortunately, nothing in our apartment was damaged, but the rug at the neighbor's house was pretty charred!

We feel very lucky and blessed that none of our things were damaged... especially since we just barely brought home our new toys... the piano and new bed frame!! (Pictures to follow) All in all it was a pretty exciting day, and we are happy that everyone is safe!

Sounds exciting! I am sure it caused quite the commotion. I am glad nothing and nobody was hurt.
