A quick trip to Wyoming

This past weekend, we hit up Kristopher's grandparent's farm up in Wyoming to help them pack up everything and move it out of the house, since they are living down in Utah closer to the family as they get a little older. It was fun to see where Kristopher had so many memories as a kid, and where all those fun stories that he tells me take place. This is the front of the house, where Kristopher's grandma told me about all the times that she did the wash in the front yard and cleaned out the milk pails every day. When they first lived in the house, there wasn't even running water! It was a working dairy farm for years and years, and I was able to see all the parts of the farm that the grandkids all love to visit. This is the barn (I think?). Kris said that it used to be all the way closed in like a garage, and that the wood is super valuable now. (Insert ranting about Utah women wanting frames made from old old wood to furnish their homes)
This is the view from the front door. The house used to be the last one on the road, but there are more houses up past it now. They didn't use to come and plow the snow, either, so when they needed water they had to go get it from down the road each day with unplowed roads.
This is where the magic happened =). This is where all the milking took place, and just behind it is where all the cows would have been.
This is the view of part of the valley from the side of the milking barn. Kristopher said that they used to go four-wheeling and shooting out in the field and just had lots of fun doing whatever with the cousins out on the farm.

Sounds like fun. It always fun to go back to where you have memories. Then you move really far away like us and just talk about things you used to do as kids.
